Designed to provide strategies and techniques for 21st-century classroom success, Fordham Graduate School of Education’s online Master of Science in Teaching (M.S.T.) offers the same curriculum taught by the same esteemed Fordham faculty as its on-campus equivalent program.

  • Master of Science in Teaching, Early Childhood Special Education (Birth–Grade 2, Dual Certification)
  • Master of Science in Teaching, Childhood Education (Grades 1–6)
  • Master of Science in Teaching, Childhood Special Education (Grades 1–6, Dual Certification)
  • Master of Science in Teaching, Childhood and Early Childhood (Birth–Grade 6, Dual Certification)

Upon completing your selected program, you will be eligible to sit for licensure exams in New York, but you may also be eligible for licensure in other states.

Student Teaching

You will complete two full-time student teaching experiences during your time in the program.

Fordham’s team of placement specialists will help identify and secure a placement in a school near your community. During each placement, you will be supported by an on-site cooperating teacher, a field specialist, and GSE faculty.

Student teaching is an opportunity to practice your skills in the classroom and make connections with local schools. Through this experience, you will gain the confidence you need to build a successful education career after graduation.
